im in the market for a welder for doing the sheet metal on frankenstein. I wondering what other members have and are using? i have plenty of access to either 110 or 220

I vote for one of those electric ones. Maybe even a fancy one that makes sparks when it pushes wire out of it. ;)

You're welcome. Or just get a torch & some filler rod and practice brazing. Dealing with the warpage might be a challenge.

220V welders are much more efficient than the 110V, so if you're wired for 220V, go that way.

yeah i have both soooooo my biggest question is which would be best and if anyone had experence with the one they own. Im really hoping some body guys chime in here

What are you going to weld? If it's just thin body tin then a 110v mig will be fine. If you plan on some heavier stuff, like a body jig or rotisserie, then a 220 volt mig is the way to go. You can always turn down the voltage on the 220 for body stuff, but sometimes it gets tricky, plus the 220 will cost a lot more.
