(WORK LOG COPIED FROM A POSTING I DID FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE)
Here is my 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe ive had this car for about 18+ years. Its gone through alot of changes it started out life as a 318 2bbl. currently it has a 440 built. Plans are as follows a fully work up on the body, the car has a fiberglass front clip, six pack lift off hood. Otherwise the body is all factory (and rusty). Drive train will be as follows the 440 will be pulled and stroked to either a 512 or 526. Tranny will be reuilt with a trans brake and a 3500 stall. The rear end will be swapped out to a full spool with 4.30 gears and super stock springs and maybe a caltrac. I already have a set of hooker super comp. 1 7/8 headers, TTI full exaust with cutouts and flowmaster 40 ser. mufflers with OEM style tips.

Today i hauled the car home so the work can start. :woot:

today did some test fitting of the welds ive got tons of room i can go another inch wider in the rear so i'll prob get another set of rims for the slicks when the time comes. The fronts clear easy but i may look into getting a taller tire these are 26" i know alot of guys run a 28" tall tire. Enjoy

Alright well ive picked out my stroker motor kit waiting for the next shipment of cly heads im doing a 512 stroker for the 440. The pistons are forged 10.5 comp flat tops. H beam rods, steel 4340 crank all brand new. Once the engine is pulled out this spring its gonna be bored .030 over for the new kit. The block has to be clearenced for the rods and the oil pump has to also be notched. The heads just came out last month their alum. ported heads they come with just the stock size valves 2.14/1.81 and a .600 lift springs. Right now im not sure on the whole roller cam or going solid. Since its been so cold i havent done alot been cleaning up the wiring and engine getting ready to pull the engine and tranny come spring. Heres a few pics with my new camera enjoy!

That headliner just kills me. I told him the same thing but he likes it and wanted to keep it like that. All he needs now is a feather in his hat and a fur coathttp://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x262/directconnection/pimp2.jpg

Today i started to take apart the swap meet 440 i picked up this last spring. The block is in very good shape all the bores are nice and clean no grooves and there was barely a ridge in the cly.'s. The crank is in good shape as well its a cast crank 1972 block the cam is also mint looks clean no scoring all the bearings are good too. This block will be perfect for the 512 stroker im planning on building. ENJOY!
