Or when ever you got to work on something it takes 3 times longer than it should? Yesterday i changed the oil pan on the talon it should of taken me 2-3 hours to change and of course it took me like 8 hours. Everything came off pretty easy until i got to the pan. That mitsubishi rtv is really strong stuff i ended up bending the rail of the pan before to came loose. Then i get the new pan on and of course the oil drain tube for the turbo wasnt lining up correctly and it started cross-threading the bolts(that was the whole reason for putting a new pan on) and i come to find out one of the bolts had messed up threads. So off comes the new pan and as im doing that one of my brand new oil pan bolts breaks (great) so then after the new pan is off and i smoke half a pack i was steaming about the broken bolt and decide well lets try to get that broken bolt out. Thank god it came out pretty easy so i reinstall the new pan again with the oil drain tube attached. everything goes together easy untill i try to hook-up the drain tube to the turbo. Yep you guessed it of course it wouldn't line up easy so after a hour i finally get that thing hooked up. Needless to say i was pretty happy so far but im starting to get tried but i really want this thing done. So next is the transfer case for the tranny and this is about 6 hours into the job and my arms are sore and those things are over 100 lbs. I finally get the t-case installed, next is the sub frame and exaust they were somewhat easy but time consuming none- the less.
On a side note today i threw some oil in and NO LEAKS!!!!!!!!!!! I guess it was well worth it afterall :D
