Front Brakes

I have a 2006 H3 and the brakes are going out.. it makes a whistling sound when I accelerate. How much do you think a break job should cost. I have two quotes that are very different. Any professional brake people on here?

How much of a difference is there, if it's ok to ask? Isn't the H3 based off of the Trail Blazer?

ha ha Dave... we plan to work out payment when he is home next weekend.

the h3 is bigger than the trailblazer. it does have 5 cylnders. and my package is the adventure package, which is made for off roading. but i do think it has a chevy engine. it is a GM product.
